Shipping services:

If you are shipping items that are boxed or crated, our freight shipping service is the most cost-effective. If it's too big for parcel shipping, then you have a perfect option of Kenya-Link Freight Shipping service. Request a quote online, or call us for an immediate shipping quote for a vehicle.

Great service and response to Dar Es Salaam:

You can count on Kenya-Link for fast response and professional shipping services to TZ. Our menu of shipping options has been made with all your interests and individual circumstances in mind.

Unbeatable price for Dar Es Salaam:

Most important of all, our company ensures you get the right shipping service for your moving and shipping needs at the right price. For example, a furniture shipment can be handled as a small move or with our freight shipping service. Each moving and shipping method has its advantages. Our friendly shipping specialists are always on hand to help you choose the fastest, safest and most cost-effective way to ship or move your items.

Shipping vehicles to Dar Es Salaam:

There are two ways to send your Car to TZ.

  • One is to use a 20-foot or 40 -foot Ocean Container and the container will be

           put on Container Vessel (ship).

  • Another way is use to Car Carrier Roll On and Roll Off (RORO vessel or

            ship).
Most of our vehicle destinations end in Dar es Salaam. We offer both Containerized service to most part of Africa & RORO services to meet your needs. RORO services don't allow you to put any other cargo inside
the vehicle or

in the trunk of the vehicle when you ship it on a Ro/Ro vessel. Kenya-Link will not be responsible cargo left inside vehicles on board as it tempts thieves to break in. We, therefore, encourage you to use our special Services that provide security both to your vehicle and your personal property in your car.

For non-motorized vehicles, such as boats on trailers, they can be towed on and off the ship. These ships have special decks that are enclosed and are much the same as a regular multi-storey parking garage, except in this case they are the length and width of the ship and are a little like aircraft carriers decks. Destination port charges are never included in the quotation for such vehicles unless you specifically requested for the services.

SHIPPING CARS FOR RESALE:

If you are shipping the vehicle for ultimate resale to a known customer you should have already come to an agreement with your overseas customer about the price of the vehicle and who pays the cost of shipping and insurance. All vehicles and goods are required to be shipped on a PREPAID basis. You should add the cost of shipping and insurance of the vehicle to your selling price and inform your customer well in advance. Failure to clarify this to the customer in good time can cause misunderstandings and arguments at

a later stage. What has been agreed should be documented to protect all parties in the transaction.

Q. Why should I use Kenya link-Dar Es Salaam special?

A. Kenya-Link-Dar special is a licensed shipping agent that gives you the assurance and effective services to ship your goods to TZ.

Q. Are my vehicles and personal goods insured?

A. You are of course recommended to take out 'Marine Insurance' that covers any goods you ship. In most cases we charge insurance at the rate of 3% of the

CIF (Invoice value of your cargo) up to a maximum of $500, of any vehicles and goods. Kenya-link-Dar special charges you a flat fee that includes insurance

but you can purchase extra insurance from a third party for your cargo.

Q. Can your company offer both Air Cargo and Ocean Shipping Services?

A. Yes! We offer both Air cargo and boat to ship your goods to TZ.

Q. Does my quotation include both agency and port fee in TZ?

A. Yes Your flat rate includes clearance from Dar es Salaam port to our warehouse. However agency fee is not the same as CUSTOMS DUTY which will be

charged to you if your goods are not duty-free.

A. Yes! Our price for full container load does not include loading the container however, if you want us to load your container there is a fee of $500.00 per 20ft

and $600.00 for a 40ft. If you are loading a car you will need to make your own arrangements with a flat bed tow truck. They charge about $75.00 per hour.

We can load vehicles professionally in the container for you at a negotiable price.

Q. Can you pick up the shipment from my house or do I take my goods to your warehouse?

A. Most of the time we request people to drop their shipment in our warehouse. On a full container quotes we bring the container to your house or close to

A. Yes but you are responsible if you choose to pack it yourself and insurance may not cover. You can employ local crating services to professionally crate or

of a loss they are obliged to pay only $100 per unit although the value of the unit may be $10,000. Keyword being NEGLIGENCE there are many losses that are

not considered negligent whereby the carrier is not responsible. These include Acts of God, Heavy Weather, Tsunamis, Stranding, General Average Strikes, Acts

of War, improper packaging for export, etc

Q. How do I know the date my goods get to Dar?
